Core Values, Self-Care and Reflection

A 90 minute live virtual workshop.

Truth and Reconciliation asks us to reflect not only on what we know, but on how we care for ourselves, how we live our values, how we relate to others, and how we carry our responsibilities forward.

In this 90 minute virtual workshop, Cree facilitator Ally Hrbachek invites participants to slow down and explore the Medicine Wheel as a framework for reflection, balance, and self-care.

Ally is a Cree woman and member of Peepeekisis Cree Nation in Treaty 4, and the daughter of a residential school survivor. Her connection to Truth and Reconciliation is deeply personal and intergenerational, rooted in family, identity, healing, and the responsibility we carry to the generations that came before us and those who will come after.

Together, we will explore the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual areas of our lives, identify the core values that guide us, and consider where we may need greater care, attention, or balance.

Participants will also be invited to reflect on Truth and Reconciliation in a personal and meaningful way. What values do we bring to this work? How do we care for ourselves while engaging with difficult truths? How do our values show up in our relationships and actions? And what responsibilities do we want to carry forward?

This is not about having all the answers. It is an opportunity to pause, reflect, reconnect with your values, and consider how you want to move forward.

Participants will explore

• The Medicine Wheel as a framework for personal reflection
• Mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual self-care
• Identifying and reconnecting with core values
• The relationship between our values and our actions
• Personal reflection on Truth and Reconciliation
• Moving from reflection toward meaningful, sustainable action

No previous knowledge of the Medicine Wheel or Truth and Reconciliation is required.
