SUMMARY:When Self-Preservation Becomes a Pattern
DESCRIPTION:The habits that once kept us safe do not always know when to st
op.\nOver preparing. Taking on more than we should so that nobody can call
us a problem. Reading the room before we read the agenda. Holding an opinio
n back until we are certain it will land.\nThese are not character flaws. T
hey are strategies that worked\, often for a long time\, often in places th
at gave us good reason to use them.\nIn this two hour Practice Session we l
ook at what happens when those strategies outlive the situations that creat
ed them\, and begin to shape how we lead\, how we relate and what we are wi
lling to risk.\nWhat we will look at\n\nWhere protective patterns come from
and what they were doing for us\nHow they show up at work as perfectionism
\, over functioning\, conflict avoidance or control\nWhat it costs to carry
them into a leadership role\nRecognizing them in the people we work with\,
without diagnosing anyone\nWhat it takes to loosen a pattern instead of sh
aming it\nChoosing differently in a situation you are sitting in right now\
n\nWho this is for\nAnyone whose work puts them close to other people. Lead
 ers\, HR and labour relations teams\, union representatives\, advocates\, e
ducators\, and people working in health\, justice and community services. Y
 ou do not need a title to come.\nDetails\n\nDate: Friday\, November 20\, 20
 26\nTime: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific\nWhere: Live online\nSeries: The Pra
ctice Sessions\n\nInvestment\n$499 + GST. Registration closes at 9:30 am Pa

at all.\nPrefer to pay by e-transfer\, or need an invoice for your organiza
